Mark Yates has moved quickly to snap up a young defender on loan this afternoon.
A deal has been completed between Cheltenham Town and Wolverhampton Wanderers to bring Michael Ihiekwe on loan to the Abbey Business Stadium.Michael, 21, is a central defender and has joined the Robins on loan for an initial month. The paperwork was completed in time to ensure Michael can be a part of the squad that travel to Burton Albion's Pirelli Stadium tomorrow afternoon.
The young defender is part of Wolves' development squad and has held the captaincy on a number of occasions for their U21 side.
Michael was named on the bench by Wolves in their League Cup defeat away at Morecambe back in August and more recently in their match away at Gillingham last week but he has yet to make his senior bow and will relish the opportunity to further his education with Mark Yates' Robins.
