Refurbishment Work Underway

25 June 2014

Building and refurbishment work underway here at Whaddon Road.

There's plenty of work underway behind the scenes here at Whaddon Road as the club freshens itself up for the new season ahead.

The largest amount of work is building and refurbishment work in the club shop and ticket office buildings where walls are being knocked through to produce an open plan office to house the commercial and media departments. The ticket office and club shop will be located in the same place but it's hoped the work will provide a strong working environment for the club's office staff.

Another noticeable improvement is the brand new wallpaper in main reception which captures some of the club's greatest moments from Steve Cotterill lifting the FA Trophy to Chris Banks celebrating promotion into the Football League.

Fans have also been pulling together to spend a few hours on a Sunday with the Robins Trust cleaning up areas around the ground ready for the new campaign. If you are interested in volunteering a few hours for the Robins then please turn up at Whaddon Road at 10am on Sunday and meet with the Trust representative on duty. Cheltenham Town supporter Peter Fielding produced a news article yesterday about the Sunday 'spring clean' sessions and you can read that here.

Fans are reminded that the ticket office and club shop will be closed completely next week for refurbishment reasons. Please click here for further details. We apologise for any inconvenience.
