Cheltenham and Newport could not be separated in Sky Bet League 2 this weekend as they played out a 0-0 draw.
Both sides had their chances to win it but Newport County were perhaps the stronger side in the first half but failed to capitalise on the chances presented to them in what was becoming an increasingly open game. The second half was alive with chances however and Newport came closest after thumping the base of the post through Conor Washington.
Cheltenham weren't without their opportunities however and chances for Cureton and Gornell could have handed the Robins a lead had it not been for a stubborn Newport defence. Again County threatened to steal a win but a goal line clearance from skipper Russ Penn saved a point for Cheltenham as they stretched their unbeaten league run to 5 games.
