Cheltenham Town produced a solid performance and three points away at Mansfield to secure safety in the Football League.
It would have taken a big swing of results to drag the Robins down into the bottom two come the end of the season but a brace from Jamie Cureton and an all round dominant display ensured the Robins needn't have worried.
The game itself was a hard fought one in the first half with Mansfield proving they were ever the boisterous team that had visited Whaddon Road back in December but Cheltenham were the side that came closest on several occasions through Matt Richards and Jamie Cureton.
With the scoreline level at the break the Robins had to handle a tough ten minute period where Mansfield immediately went on the hunt for goals but a strong defensive performance held firm and the Robins soon hit back. A piercing run from Byron Harrison was followed by a sublime pass into the path of Jamie Cureton and his expert finish handed Cheltenham a lead. That was doubled on the 79th minute with Cureton stealing possession with the Mansfield defence at odds and his superb finish sealed the three points much to the elation of players, officials and supporters alike.
