Thousand Word Media has nominated the charity for the Make a Stand sponsorship competition at Cheltenham Town Football Club.
Following a champagne lunch on April 5, the club will draw the winner who gets the naming rights for the Main Stand for a whole season.
“We are strong supporters of the Robins and Cotswold Care Hospice and Make a Stand is a fantastic way for us to back both organisations,” said Antony Thompson, MD of Thousand Word Media.
For Lois Dainty, who is a Cotswold Care Hospice at home health care assistant, going to Whaddon Road was particularly special. Her 10-year-old son Harvey is a huge Robins’ fan.
“It would be wonderful if we had the stand named after us for the season,” said Lois, who lives in Quedgeley. “It would be a great way for the charity to raise its profile about the work we do in Cheltenham and Gloucester.”
Marie Carter, Commercial Manager for Cheltenham Town, said: “We are really pleased that our Make a Stand campaign has given the opportunity for local charities to potentially win one of the big sponsorships at Cheltenham Town.
“With thanks to Thousand Word Media, Cotswold Care Hospice is in with as chance of putting its name in the spotlight for a whole season.
“We hope that other businesses will follow suit, it is a fantastic way to support your charity and receive good PR for both. We are looking forward to April  5th  when the event will be held before our match v Southend.
“Even if Cotswold Care Hospice are not the lucky winners, they will be listed in our match programme and on the club website for the 2014/2015 season.”
