Job Title: Sales Executive

Who We Are: An established League Two football club with a history going back 126 years. We are a thriving and driven business with all the passion you would expect from an organisation known for its tenacity and fortitude. We are now embarking on a new chapter which involves increasing our sales and commercial operations and are seeking to recruit a Sales Executive to help us achieve our commercial ambitions.

The Role: The Sales Executive role is critical to achieving our business goals.  You will develop and secure sales to ensure that our income increases year on year, provide the administration back up to support the sales process and deliver the sales, as well as support marketing and promotional activities on an ongoing basis.  This varied and demanding role involves promoting and selling Match Day and hospitality packages, advertising and sponsorship opportunities, conferencing and events.  You will be ‘front of house’ on match days and ensuring the smooth running of events and sponsorships in the run up.   It is a combination of new business generation and relationship management of existing businesses.

What We Are Looking For: We are looking for someone who has a proven track record of success in sales. You will have strong organisational and communication skills, be a natural networker with the ability to influence others.  Striving to exceed expectations, the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines, balanced with an eye for detail and commercially aware. A positive outlook and resilient approach is required. Motivation is important and you’ll be able to work on your own initiative but also contribute to the wider team. You will have a customer focused and professional approach to every aspect of the role. As you will be visiting existing and potential customers you will need a driving licence and access to a car.  You will also have good numerical skills.

Location, Salary & Benefits: We offer a competitive salary and benefits package. The role is based at our offices at the Cheltenham Town FC, Whaddon Road ground and involves frequent visits to existing and potential customers in the local area.
