Fans wanting to support the team at Exeter this weekend can now take advantage of FREE coach travel.
A decision was made by the board of directors this morning to pay for the travel of supporters wanting to back the Robins away from home at Exeter's St James Park. Fans who have already paid for coach travel are obviously entitled to a refund. ALL travel club coaches will be departing from Cheltenham Racecourse as due to the groundshare agreement with Gloucester City and the higher volume of travelling coaches.
The ticket office and club shop are closed today but will be back open from 10am tomorrow morning. Travel club members will have priority but Marchants have said the club can have as many coaches as it would like so there should be no problem with supporters missing out on coach seats.
Cheltenham Town have been guaranteed a play-off place at least but automatic promotion is still a possibility and Mark Yates is keen to make it feel like a home game at the weekend.
"It would be great to see as many Cheltenham supporters down there as possible," said Mark.
"The support on Saturday was really good and if we can replicate that at the weekend at St. James Park then I know the players will respond. I'm delighted the Chairman come to this decision and it shows how much we want to win this game.
"The players showed great character against Gillingham but we need to do that again at the weekend and the support from our fans will help them to do that."
We would like to emphasise that both the ticket office and club shop are closed today but will be open again from tomorrow morning (10am). Fans wanting to take advantage of free coach travel and purchase their tickets for the Exeter game can pop in to the ticket office from Tuesday or alternatively call us on 01242 573558 (option 1).
Cheltenham Town fans will be based in the St James Road away terrace and the Stagecoach stand (seating). Exeter have sent us 250 tickets for terracing and 250 tickets for seating to sell in advance of the game. Wheelchair users and ambulant disabled supporters are asked to purchase tickets in advance of the game. We do recommend supporters buy their tickets in advance from the Cheltenham Town ticket office but, if you do buy on the day, then please head to the matchday away ticket booth before heading to the turnstiles.
