Fleetwood Rewind

18 April 2014

We take you back to December and our last meeting with today's opponents, Fleetwood.

The Cod Army come to town this Easter with today's Good Friday clash at the Abbey Business Stadium (3pm kick-off).

Fleetwood of course can still get automatic promotion and will need the three points if they are going to continue to mount an assault on the top three but the Robins have a real desire to finish this campaign strongly and it should be a cracker of a game later today.

Both clubs have only ever met eachother on three occasions with the last encounter at Fleetwood's Highbury Stadium back in December. The Robins ran out comfortable 2-0 winners courtesy of goals from Troy Brown and Jermaine McGlashan in one of Cheltenham's best performances of the season.

Troy Brown headed Matt Richards' corner into the back of the net after just 35 seconds and a sturdy and strong performance helped the Robins hold that lead all the way through until injury time. Fleetwood were killed off in the 93rd minute after Harrison's through ball found the run of McGlashan and the winger rounded Fleetwood goalkeeper Davies before dispatching his shot into the back of the net for all three points.
