A young Robins side defeated Gloucester City in the first round of the Gloucestershire Senior Challenge Trophy on Tuesday night.
A Robins side, made up of mostly the youth team, defeated the Tigers 2-1 watched on by Jamie Victory on the touchline and manager Mark Yates in the stands of Evesham's Jubilee Stadium.
Strike Bobbie Dale took to the lead for Cheltenham after just two minutes with a neat lob over the Gloucester goalkeeper and the first half played out in the Robins favour. The second half however saw a mini comeback by Gloucester and they levelled the scoreline with Charlie Griffin's 69th minute strike. That equaliser didn't last for long however with Adam Powell slamming his side back in front following good work by Ed Williams.
The young Cheltenham Town side will now face Forest Green in the quarter finals.
