What's happened in the last 7 days?

In a week where the Robins have finally hit top spot in the Vanarama National League, ctfc.com look back at what's happened in the last seven days.

New Stand Sponsor:

The Club were delighted to announce a new stand sponsor for the Prestbury Road end having agreed a deal with Autovillage SsangYong.

Robins hit the top:

On Tuesday night the Robins played host to Guiseley and make light work of their opponents to go top of the League following Forest Green's draw. Read the match report here.
Two goals from Billy Waters were crucial in the win, see Billy post-match interview below:




New Signing:

Cheltenham completed the loan signing of Ryan Jennings from Wigan Athletic. The winger, 20, came off the bench at Southport to make his debut and looked sharp with bags of pace.

Downesy's video diary:

Robins' captain Aaron Downes gave fans a brilliant insight into what the players get up to on long away trips with a behind-the-scenes video diary from the team's overnight trip to Hartlepool.
Highlight's included Harry Pell as 'quiz master' and a 'concert' from some of the players singing at the team hotel.

Competition:

Part of the video diary release was a Competition for fans to guess which players would sing which songs, the winner getting a signed shirt presented by a player of their choice ahead of the big Forest Green Rovers match. Thank you for the massive number of entries but there could be only one winner. Watch Downesy announce the winner below, congratulations to Harry Morris!




Robins come out firing at Southport to stay top:

Saturday saw Gary Johnson's team travel to Southport to try and maintain their position at the top of the table.
In a season where Gary has been looking for faster starts from his team, he could have no complaints this time as the Robins were 3-0 up inside 14 minutes and eventually ran out 4-0 winners.

What's coming up next week:

This coming week sees the Youth side try to make the 3rd Round of the FA Youth Cup when they take on Barnet at the World of Smile Stadium. More details of that game to come.

Next Saturday sees the big one- Cheltenham host second placed Forest Green Rovers in a battle for top spot in the league. The match is a 3pm kick-off at the WoS Stadium and look out this week for special features in the build up to the game. We hope to see as many of you at the game as possible, and why not bring a friend or two to help produce a brilliant atmosphere!
