Robins' honoured at National League Awards evening

12 June 2016

Champions

Cheltenham Town were honoured at last night's Vanarama National League awards ceremony with several awards.

Gaffer Gary Johnson was named Manager of the Year having lead the Robins to the National League Title at the first time of asking, with a squad assembled virtually from scratch last summer. Gary was unable to attend the event so his brother Pete, our Head of Recruitement, was there to collect the award for him.

Congratulations also to Dan Holman who was named Player of the Year. Having spent the first half of the season on loan at Woking, the former Colchesther man ended the season with 30 goals to finish joint first in the division's scoring charts.

On top of these individual awards, four of last year's Champions were named in the Vanarama National Leagues' "All Start Team" - Dan Holman, Kyle Storer, Harry Pell and Daniel Parslow. Summer signing James Jennings also made the team after impressing for Forest Green Rovers last year.

Congratulations to all for their fantastic achievements!
