Brundle Arrives On Loan

31 January 2014

Bristol City have sent Mitch Brundle to the Abbey Business Stadium on loan until the end of the season.

We can confirm that a loan deal to sign Mitch Brundle on an end of season loan deal from Bristol City is now complete.

The 19 year-old central defender will meet his new team-mates for the first time tomorrow afternoon here at the Abbey Business Stadium ready for the home clash versus Northampton Town.

The paperwork was complete in time for Mitch to feature and Mark believes the youngster will further strengthen competition in the squad.

"We needed some more defensive cover just in case," said Mark.

"Bristol City have been very good, as has Steve (Cotterill) so we are delighted Mitch has joined us."

Mitch, 19, is a former Yeovil Town youth product but signed for Bristol City in the summer of 2013. He is held in high regard in and around Ashton Gate but former Robins manager Steve Cotterill was keen for the youngster to get closer to first team football here at Cheltenham Town.

If Mitch features this weekend then it will be his professional debut and his arrival follows that of Swansea midfielder Lee Lucas and the loan extension of Michael Ihiekwe.
