Robins Loan Daniels

27 March 2014

Coventry City attacker Billy Daniels has joined Cheltenham Town on loan this afternoon.

Cheltenham Town have snapped up Coventry City attacker Billy Daniels on loan ahead of this afternoon's deadline subject

Billy, 19, will meet up with his new team-mates tomorrow as they travel up north towards Hartlepool ahead of this weekend's Sky Bet League 2 fixture after completing a one month loan deal.

The young forward will be available for selection and Mark Yates believes he has the ability to make a real difference to the Robins.

"Billy is a player who can play in any forward position," said Mark.

"We actually had him training with us for a week last season and we liked him. I'm really happy that he has come along and I think he will do really well for us. I'm looking forward to working with him until the end of the season hopefully."

Billy signed a professional deal with Coventry City in May 2012 after impressing during his Academy years. He was a big part of the club's FA Academy Premier League squad and he was handed a squad number by former manager Andy Thorn in the final days of the 2011-12 season.

He was recognised as Football League Education Apprentice of the month in October 2011 and he made three first team appearances during the 2012-13 season before signing a two year deal in July 2013. This season he has made the step up and has made 23 starting and 10 substitute appearances for Coventry and he has scored 3 goals during that time.
