Matt Bower signs pro deal
Matt Bower has signed his first professional contract with Cheltenham Town.
The 17-year-old has been involved in all the pre-season games so far, having made his first senior appearance last season.
Bower came on as a substitute in the 2-2 draw at Oxford City in the FA Trophy in January, making his first start in the replay at Whaddon Road which Cheltenham lost 3-1.
He’s been with the club’s academy since Under 13s level and has been a season ticket holder for his boyhood club for most of his life.
Boss Gary Johnson said: “He’s had a really good pre-season."
“You’ve heard me say people 'summer well', and Matt did.
"He came back a man and he’s definitely a big signing.”
