The Robins made it three wins from three friendlies in the battle of the ‘CTFC’s on a chilly evening at the Corinium Stadium.

Cheltenham started as they meant to go on, forcing a corner which Holman flicked in from within the first 35 seconds.

Cirencester’s best chance of the half was put just wide by Cheltenham academy coach Langworthy on his left foot.

A sweetly struck Pell free kick brought a good save from Rivers, with the Robins dominating possession.

Holman put his hattrick chance wide after Hall’s good pass, and Wright hit the bar with a curling effort as the Robins were in total control at half-time, 2-0 to the good.

With a completely changed outfield 10 for the second half, Cirencester began to get into the game forcing a flurry of corners.

James Rowe’s free kick struck the post and chances were few and far between in the second 45.

A free-flowing move with Barthram and Waters combining resulted in Josh Thomas firing straight at the keeper.

Cheltenham’s third was the icing on the cake as Rivers spilled it from the corner and Thomas was on hand to poke home.
Morgan-Smith was denied from close range before the full time whistle went.
