The Robins made it three wins from three friendlies in the battle of the ‘CTFC’s on a chilly evening at the Corinium Stadium.

Cheltenham started as they meant to go on, forcing a corner which Holman flicked in from within the first 35 seconds.

minute after a well worked move resulted in Wright teeing up Holman to smash home his second. The goal was reminiscent of the duo’s scintillating form last season.thIt was 2-0 in the 10

A sweetly struck Pell free kick brought a good save from Rivers, with the Robins dominating possession.

Holman put his hattrick chance wide after Hall’s good pass, and Wright hit the bar with a curling effort as the Robins were in total control at half-time, 2-0 to the good.

With a completely changed outfield 10 for the second half, Cirencester began to get into the game forcing a flurry of corners.

James Rowe’s free kick struck the post and chances were few and far between in the second 45.

Cheltenham’s third was the icing on the cake as Rivers spilled it from the corner and Thomas was on hand to poke home.
