Academy & Development Teams Round-Up!
This week has seen a number of our academy and development teams take to the field as their seasons get into full flow.Last weekend the Academy U18s team recorded a 1-0 win over Exeter City thanks to a first goal of the season from James Hancocks and a penalty save by goalkeeper Ross Grimshaw.
After the game manager Ashleigh Hopkins said: "I'm very proud of the performance, we were fantastic and played with real team spirit.
"The U18s are learning everyday with great role models at the club, and being involved in high quality coaching sessions and the Central League matches is a huge learning curve for the youngsters."
The Academy side will look to continue their good progress in the Youth Alliance against Yeovil Town this weekend.
Meanwhile the Development teams have been busy this week as well, with the U19s winning 5-0 away at Aston Academy and the U18s beating Malvern Town 4-2.
