Disciplinary Warning

5 April 2016

Message from the FA

Cheltenham Town have been informed by the Football Association that the recent match against Grimsby Town is under investigation for incidents of coin throwing from home supporters and a smoke bomb released by the visiting fans.

This will be the second time this season that a Cheltenham Town home match has been investigated due to issues within the crowd and the club could face disciplinary action as a result.

Supporters are reminded that the following actions are CRIMINAL OFFENCES:

- Throwing objects onto the pitch
- Lighting flares or smoke bombs
- Attempting to enter the ground while under the influence of alcohol
- Entering the playing area.

All areas of the ground are monitored by CCTV and supporters found guilty of the above offences can be arrested and receive a criminal record as well as a ban from football.

Furthermore, after what has been a tremendous season so far nobody would like to see it spoiled by facing disciplinary fines - money that should be used for much more useful purposes such as squad strengthening or improving facilities.

Cheltenham Town Football Club would like to remind all supporters to be mindful of the above and to respect both the law and National League ground regulations at the remaining home and away matches this season.

If you witness someone misbehaving at football then please report them to the nearest steward. There is no honour in protecting troublemakers.
